Governor O’Malley Visits the Capitol Heights Volunteer Fire Department

On April 15, 2010 Governor O’Malley designated Capitol Heights as the state capital for the day in commemoration of its 100th year anniversary. Since the Capitol Heights Volunteer Fire Department has played a significant part in the town’s history, it was only fitting that today’s event was held at the fire station.

About the Capitol Heights Volunteer Fire Department

The Capitol Heights Volunteer Fire Department is a non-profit organization that provides fire and emergency services for the town of Capitol Heights and surrounding communities. We are located about 5 miles from our nation’s capital, in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Our station is staffed both by career and volunteer personnel.
