Two Presidents, One Company, A First for PGCVFRA

Two Presidents from CHVFD

On Friday, September 21, 2007, PGCVFRA history was made. For the first time ever, the newly elected President of Prince George’s County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association and the newly elected Prince George’s County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association Ladies Auxiliary President were the from the same company.

Assistant Chief Bob Russell and CHVFD Ladies Auxiliary President Vivian Morgan were sworn in as Presidents of their respective organizations during second session of the 2007 Convention.

President Robert McClelland, Sr. and Chief James McClelland, Sr. of the Capitol Heights Volunteer Fire Department presented Bob and Vivian with plaques commemorating the occasion. They also presented them each with a real gavel and a “not-so-subtle” gavel for their use during the term.

We wish both Bob and Vivian a successful term.
