The 2017-2018 officers were elected during the 125th Annual Convention of the Maryland State Firemen’s Association, and among them was CHVFD Lifetime Member Vivian Boyd. On Tuesday, June 20, 2017, Ms. Boyd was sworn in as the new President of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Maryland State Firemen’s Association (LAMSFA).
During her remarks, President Boyd expressed her appreciation for everyone for their support and promised that her term would be one of “love.” Her goals build upon the tenants established in the constitution of the LAMSFA. “We, the members of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Maryland State Firemen’s Association, now unite as a body to promote interest, establish harmony, and cultivate a closer friendship, both social and material, among the auxiliaries to the volunteer fire companies of the State of Maryland, and assist the State Firemen’s Association.”
“It is my honor to serve as President of this Association. I will do my best to perform my duties and to represent the members. My most sincere thanks to everyone for their continued support and confidence in my ability. I look forward to my travels across our great state and to making new friends along the way,” says President Boyd.
