Charles “Charlie” Baldi Inducted into PGVFRA Hall of Fame
The Capitol Heights Volunteer Fire Department is proud to announce that Charlie Baldi has been inducted into the Prince George’s County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association’s Hall of Fame. On September 17, 2015, we accepted Charlie’s Hall of Fame certificate on his behalf and presented it to him at a later date.
Robert E. McClelland Inducted into the MSFA Hall of Fame
He represents the second of four generations to serve in the volunteer fire service in Prince George’s County. We are proud of his service and cannot think of a better way to acknowledge his service to our department, community, County and State.

Station 5 Members and Staff Earn Unit Citation for CHVFD Door-to-Door Campaign
Since April 2014, the members of the Capitol Heights Volunteer Fire Department and career staff from Station 5 have visited over 1,000 homes in our first due response area to install smoke alarms provided by a Fire Prevention and Safety grant from FEMA/DHS.
CHVFD Smoke Alarm Campaign Keeps Capitol Heights Families Safe
Since April 2014, the members of the Capitol Heights Volunteer Fire Department and career staff from Station 5 have visited over 1,000 homes in our first due response area to install smoke alarms. The alarms, new 10 year long life battery smoke alarms, were provided by a Fire Prevention and Safety grant from FEMA/DHS to the Capitol Heights Volunteer Fire Department.
